Setting default projection in workspace

Does anyone know if it's possible to set MapInfo's default projection using MapBasic or as part of a workspace? I have several different projects which each use different projections, so it would be handy to be able to set the default projection of each project automatically each time I open a project's workspace.

    Hi Steve,

The map projection for each map should be saved as part of the workspace, is this not working?

If you need to set the MapBasic coordinate system you can do this
Set CoordSys Earth Projection 1, 104

of if you prefer to use EPSG codes you can do this
    run command("Set " + EPSGToCoordSysString$("EPSG:4326"))

It wont have any effect on the maps but will be used for any commands run in MapBasic, e.g. Select Centroidx(obj) from MyTable

Hi @Steve Francis  - in addition to the comment from @Duri Bradshaw, there are some default projections that can be set under PRO >> Options >> Map Window >> Projection . The Map window projection is saved into the Workspace as part of each individual Map Window. A new Map Window will take on the projection of the 1st layer added. Does this help explain the behaviour you are seeing? Thanks, Ashley
