Bit of a long shot this one but can anyone shed light on two things here...

Firstly, any info on the possible the cause of the error much appreciated.

Secondly, is there a way of identifying the file referenced in the last line "File #1177 not open for access"

As background, this is a workspace that opens approx 70 files, some straight .tabs, some SQL linked .tabs. A number of users are getting the error above. The File # reference changes in each but I don't know whether that means that the file itself that's a problem changes. All of the files appear to open from the workspace but when users navigate random crashes/freezes occur after the above message.

All the google searches I've done on this appear to indicate some kind of network connection loss where the SQL Server Native Client can't 'talk' to the Database server for whatever reason, even if it was just a brief hiccup in connectivity.

Thanks Bill. I googled and found similar. There is reference to the "File #**** not open for access" error message in this PB help page but it seems to relate to MapBasic
