Google Street View - strange behaviour

I'm not sure what kind of response I will get with this one, but it's worth a try.  We have set up Google Street View within SSA.  For a while it was working well.  At some point (I can't recall exactly when) it started behaving strangely: images are only partially displayed.  I was hoping a RAM upgrade (from 12 GB to 24 GB) would help, but there has been no improvement.  The images look like this:

    Google Street View Partial Image
If we pan around, the image updates - but still only part of the image is displayed, and sometimes none at all - just a black screen.  An internet search reveals others (using other software) having a similar issue, but I have not found a solution.

The images display correctly within Google Maps, so it is only in SSA that we are having this problem.

The only google-related messages in Developer Tools are the following:
[Deprecation] The deviceorientation event is deprecated on insecure origins, and support will be removed in the future. You should consider switching your application to a secure origin, such as HTTPS. See https://goo.gl/rStTGz for more details.

I can only test in Chrome at this stage.
