    ​Any hints and tips gratefully received from anyone who has gone through the Unitary process.
    Buckinghamshire will be going from one county council and three district councils to one on the 1st April 2020.
    We are looking for some guidance on managing these changes for Gazetteer and Street Works within Confirm.

    Hi Elaine,
    We have gone Unitary this year, and although we still have some niggling errors creeping in to our street works still they are largely avoidable and on the whole it didn't go too badly.
    We mostly managed it ourselves but called in PB to put in place some very useful script (still running due to the human error mentioned above) and took a lot of advice from Geoplace - who you will need to contact anyway to get new Highway Authority and DfT SWA reference numbers.

    Key to it all I would say is identifying all your stakeholders, really good, early communication (we should have done that better), editing your street gazetteer and OD file correctly and enlisting the appropriate amount of support from PB to support you through it. David Collett and Wendy Damon of PB were our champions in this.
