The UK Confirm OnDemand v20 environment uses the passwords in Active Directory for users with an AD account, i.e. users whose username starts with your 5-letter tenant prefix. For example if your tenant name is Chatham City Council and your username starts with the 5-letter tenant prefix CHACC you now need to use the AD password to log in to ConfirmConnect, Confirm Web and the Connector. AD password rules apply such as needing to update the password every 45 days.

Steve Bish's post Confirm AD Management (UK OnDemand Customers) FAQ mentioned the change and has a link to a knowledge article containing FAQs.

Clients who have a CRM system that sends Enquiries to Confirm have at least one specific user set up on the User Security screen in Confirm and the CRM data coming into Confirm contains that username and a password. The username is shown in the User Id field on the User Security screen and if that does not start with your 5-letter prefix you do not need to do anything.

If, however, the CRM username does start with the 5-letter prefix the Connector now validates the password against the one in AD and will fail. It is strongly recommended to create a new User on the User Security screen in Confirm with a User Id that does not start with the 5-letter prefix and tick the 'Password Never Expires' checkbox. That username and password screen can then be used by the CRM system.

    Hi Chris,

We have accounts set up without the prefix but they are still being asked to re-validate on a weekly basis (and sometimes more frequently) on Connect. Is this a bug or a setting we need to change? The passwords are set to never expire.

    Thanks, Laura

    Hi Laura

We are working with the engineers in case 24384995 to see why you have to revalidate the ConfirmConnect sessions.  We will contact you if we need more information.
