Document Link System Settings

I have noticed that any Document Links which have been added recently have been prefixed with $Document$ or $Document Store$, this works fine within Confirm. However, when a WFS file is created and the a user tries to view the hot link within MapInfo they receive an error message stating that the document can not be located.

Is there some way of stopping Confirm from reducing the file path and prefixing when a document is added? Or, is there some ability in MapInfo to setup something similar to the Document Links System Settings within Confirm to tell MapInfo what the $Document$ or $Document Store$ file path should be replaced with?

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Hi Kylie

When you manually add a file to the Document Links screen there is a checkbox called Upload to Document Store.  If you untick this the Document Location filepath shows the path to the file's original location and does not add $Document$ to the path.

You mention the Document Links System Setting in Confirm.  The path you set there is the folder where you want to store all your photos.  You will then see $Document$ as a place folder in the Document Location field if the file was uploaded to the Document Store Folder.  The idea behind this is that if you need to move all your photos to a different server or folder, you only have to change the filepath on the Document Links System Setting screen for the links to still work.

You will need the Document Links System Setting path if you upload photos from ConfirmConnect.
