Ordering fields in the Reports Template for observations

  • 1.  Ordering fields in the Reports Template for observations

    Hello,

I have started to use the report template again (using a data source to collect the information and then the report to display it). I have had to dig deep into my training memory and I seem to have got somewhere however I cannot get over the ordering (it is in order BUT the first line starts halfway down the report, I need this to start at the top!)

The observations have the order specified and work on the inspection type but not when in the report.

    Any ideas please?

    Hi Laura,

I ran a few of my reports (default ones) and it did appear quite ordered. I also defined sorting sequence by selecting columns during the creation of the report. So, there is a possibility of this being specific to report/query used.

It will be best to raise this as an issue to software support for further investigation. I can also test the PSR file (if that can be provided) and give you quick response on view at my end.

    Hi Abhimanyu,

I have logged this with PB - I did go onto the report and ordered it ascending (it was already but thought if I played around with it, it would update) but it does not seem to have made a difference to my report. They are in order but the first one starts about 6th and then continues which is strange. It is case 22706094, I will add the PSR file to the case.

    Thanks, Laura

    Hi Abhimanyu,

I have added the Observe Type Order to the report and ordered with this - all looking good now.

    Thanks very much, Laura

    Hi Laura,

Excellent !! Great to know that you were able to resolve the issue by adding the 'Observe Type Order' column to report.
